I thought I had the recent blogger group 9 challenge all figured out. No pink, check. No red, check. Valentine card, check. Embossing, check. What I forgot was NO hearts. Ooops - the whole card has the hearts as its focus. Oh well, I still made a pretty card.
The background stamp in the window was inspired by an article in the latest Paper Crafts magazine. I first used one of my iris folding templates to cut out the hearts. Put that aside.
I then heat embossed the lace backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms in blue sparkle embossing in from Embossing Arts. The hearts layer was then placed over the backgrounder.
Then I stamped the sentiment from River City Rubber Works and added the ribbon and flower to finish it off. It's hard to tell from the picture but the backgrounder really sparkles. This powder is tough to work with in the sense that its hard to tell when the powder melts but it certainly is cool when you see the finished result.
I got a chance to hit Michael's today. I have to get ready for Meg's Valentine's party this weekend. I have some projects up my sleeve but you'll have to wait for those. Have a great night!
