This time its not my fault, I swear. Last w eekend at the Stamping Around CT event, one of the instructors was Debbie Corbari and she used the set she designed for Our Craft Lounge in our project. Is it my fault that I adored the set so much that when they offered the sets we'd used during the event for sale that I tackled everyone in order to buy one? I think not.
First let's start with the projects that Debbie has us complete.
We first created this cute little Boxy Bag. The stamps are from Our Craft Lounge and the boxy bag design is originally from Jody Morrow.
All the images were stamped with Tuxedo Momento black ink and colored with copic markers.
Copics: E31, E33, YR02, R22, R27
We then added Sparkly Fluff (from Our Craft Lounge) to the owls (brown) and flower (orange). Think sparkly flock and this is what the fluff is.
Sssshhh, I snagged a container of the orange and brown fluff too.
Tie off the ribbon and voila, cute little boxy bag.
If that wasn't enough to create the craving for this set, Debbie also had us make a card too. Al the images are stamped with the same black ink and the top of the tree was stamped a second time on another piece of cardstock.
All images were colored with copic markers.
Copics: YG91, YG95, YG99, E33, E37, YR02, R22, R27
I never would have used those greens but now I'm a convert - I will be using putty for trees again!
There is some sparkly fluff on the tree truck as well as on the flower.
The second tree top was colored and cut out. These are easy lines for cutting and layering. I then kind of rolled and distressed the edges of the top layer before adding it to the main image. This gives it a nice little big of dimension.
Here is the entire set. Isn't it just too cute?? I'm loving that tree. How awesome will it be in autumn colors?? I totally see this set as working for fall cards too.
And here is a little card I made up today to showcase the set a little more. I needed a couple of quick thank you's from Meg and Conor so I wanted something that wasn't too girly or too boyish and thought this fit the bill.
All images are stamped with Momento black ink. The birdhouse and birds are from Our Craft Lounge. The sentiment is from Green Grass Stamps. I colored the images with copic markers.
Copics: R14, R17, B32, B34
This is the first time I used my nesties for purely embossing the shape without cutting. It took a little trial and error but I finally figured out what sandwich works well. I've also decided that I may need to invest in a magnetic thingie to help keep the dies in place. I topped it all onto a card base of Papertrey's Berry Sorbet. I have been using white and kraft from PTI for a while now but last month decided to try some of the other colors. Bad idea....now I want it all!
Thanks for sticking through my marathon post. And if you have fallen in love with this set too, I'll help you decide by saying that these stamps inked up like a dream. Hope you all have a fantastic night!
