Orange Flower

I love flower stamps. If you saw how many I have.....and yet, I still keep buying them. I just realized that I created this set of items with a Gina K flower stamp that I never posted.

First I started off with a card, keeping things to my usual clean and simple look.

I liked these flowers in orange so much that I made flat notecards out of them.

And then I just had to make a tag set too.

All the same stamp and all the same ink but in a variety of items. I love how one little stamp can be used in so many ways. And yet, I still keep buying those flowers.........

New Bookmarks

The kids are reading up a storm here so I thought there may be others reading too and why not make more bookmarks for the online store?

I've got three designs but only have pictures for two. For the life of me, I can't get a good picture (or adequately edit) the third.

First off, let's talk dragonflies.

I think this dragonfly is from Gina K.

For the next one, I have this fun anchor from Stampin' Up so even though I already sell anchor bookmarks, I needed to make some with this stamp.

So that's all I have for today - Meg and I are embarking on a journey of art journaling so I may have pages for you to come (remembering always that I'l a little too simple and 'neat' for truly inspired art journaling, mine is more along simple scrapbooking but that's okay, as long as it makes me happy. :)

Thank You Flowers

Wow, I just realized that it's been a few days since I last posted. I have fun stuff to show you but I've been preoccupied with making Meg's birthday invitations. I FINALLY have the idea. FINALLY have the templates needed the the invite designed.....now I just needed to finish making them. They're in progress but hope to have them done by the weekend.

Today though I have a quick thank you card to show instead.

The blue and brown theme is a favorite of mine - it's the brown that draws me in every time.

The flowers are from Gina K and the sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

And now it's back to the invite production line......

Pretty Tulips

I just realized that I forgot to show off one of my cards for the June red, white and blue challenge.

I'm extra happy with this one because it is a theme besides patriotic and I got to use one of my nesties that I hadn't played with before. (Which I really need to use before I can buy some of the new awesome ones coming out at CHA this year!)

Super simple but I thought that frame went nicely with the flowers. The stamps are from Gina K.

No stamping for me today ~ burnt my fingers so I'm babying them today. I plan to be back tomorrow in full force though.

Why Mess With a Good Thing?

I liked the layout design of my last losted card so much that I decided to do it again, just with different colors and for a different occasion.

I pulled out the new indigo color from Stampin Up - love it - and started stamping.

The flowers are from Sweet n Sassy and the sentiment is from Gina K.

I decided to change the ribbon slightly to this kind of knot just because.

I'm happy with this one too. You'll be happy to know that I've put this stamp away for now and will be stamping something new tomorrow!

Purple Flowers Sympathy

This week officially starts summer vacation here for us and I've had a couple of chuncks of time where I was able to get inky down in the studio. It doesn't hurt that there are actually design ideas floating around in my head.

This one is pretty clean and simple. I had just gotten this set of stamps from Gina K and was itching to get something stamped.

I really like the stenciled look of the flowers in this set. I can't wait to give them all a whirl eventually.

The Blue Truck Rides by Again

Yep, it's that time of year. One of my awesome clients needed a birthday card for her brother with the blue truck stamp. Note to self.....I think I need more truck stamps.

Anyway, this is either year three or year four with this truck. I make a point of not looking at what I've made in the past so I'm not influenced by previous designs. Here is what I came up with this year.

I have been itching to use this patterned paper from Papertrey Ink so I've finally put it to use. The truck is from River City Rubber and the sentiment is from Gina K.

I've gotten out of doing all that many layers so it was fun to throw a bunch together on a card for a bit of a change. I still love my CAS but once in a while, I need more than one or two layers!

Dragonflies for Dad

The monthly challenge for our ArtFire card makers guild is things with wings. As soon as I saw these new stamps from Gina K, I knew I wanted to use the dragonflies for this layout.

The sentiment is from Verve Visual, another one of my go-to stamp companies, especially for sentiments.

I've used this layout before and am happy with the dragonflies. I have more planned for the dragonflies and my wings challenge ~ just need to get more stamping time!

Panda Mini Valentine

Since I've been creating with Pink Cat digi stamps this week, how about one more to finish the trio of mini Valentine's cards off.

I had some of these left over from the previous panda cards so I decided to make some mini's. This little guy is colored with copic markers. The sentiment is from Gina K.

Simple Solution on a Monday

Lately it seems like I need lots more quick birthday cards than usual and I've come up with an easy way to create extra for my stash without taking extra time. The key is to use embellishments as focal points and add a quick stamped sentiment to finish it off.

These first two designs are the same layout, different colors.

The sentiment from Papertrey was added to jazz up the cupcakes just a bit.

For the next two, I changed the layout but kept to the same idea.

This time the sentiment stamp came from Gina K designs.

In very short order, I've added a bunch of cards that are great for my kids to use or if I need to send simple birthday wishes.
