I do not have any creations from me for you today but never fear, I still have pretty cards for you to look at. As you know, I recently became a Stampin' Up demo. I have yet to meet her but I have found a super nice upline who has already sent me pretty mail. So today is Stampin' Up mail day. All these cards are from Terri, my wonderful new upline.

Happy Friday night!! It has been a busy day so this will be quick. I did not get a chance to stamp during the day today so I have some happy mail for you to look at instead.
This card came from my pen pal Lisa. I really like the white with just a splash of fun color.
This great flower pot card came from my pen pal Gail.
I haven't tried these yet so it was really neat to see one in person. I have a tough time visualizing stuff in my head with just word directions. I really need to see, or even better, hold a sample (and if I only see the sample, I need it broken down into parts). I think that is why I did so bad in biochemistry back in grad school. But that's another story....
This is another great card and it came from my pen pal Jenny. I adore the color combination and am impressed with all the heat embossing and cutting effort that went into all this!
I did a bit of creating tonight because I was at the first class of Stamping Around Connecticut. I will have a cute project to show you tomorrow but I'm beat so I'm heading off to bed. It's back there again tomorrow for four more classes. Can't wait!

I want to wish everyone that is a mother, has a mother or wants to be a mother a very happy day!! Now that spring has arrived, my Saturday's have become sports days. Meg has lacrosse games in the morning and Conor has baseball games in the afternoon. Therefore, there will be no stamping on Saturday's. Instead of my own work today, I have a small sampling of the lovely cards I received last month.

Phew, I just finished a round of blurfing. I visited every blog in my three blog groups - awesome work everyone!! Last night I crashed early so I have nothing new to show you. But I did pull out some cards I've received over the last month so you too can enjoy my pretty mail.
This great bella card is from Siobhan. I have this image but I always use greens with it. I really like how Siobhan used totally different colors and I really like the layout (a layout I could never pull off myself but looks fabulous in person when someone else does it!).

This sweet card is from Tara. I debated back and forth for ages on getting this set but never did. Its cute cards like this that make me wonder why I didn't.

Today I am working on wedding shower invites. Not all that super interesting after like the thirtieth time! But I will put on some music or a book on tape on and let my mind wander as I work.

This first one is a pretty card from Dianne. Pink and brown is one of my all time favorite color combos and I really like how she mixed the papers too.
This second card is from Mary. I opened it up and my first word was, wow! Between the pretty stamped background, the awesome window and the sparkly butterflies, I fell in love with this card right away.
Gail sent me this sweet heart pocket card. Inside was an awesome mango tea tea bag. I am a big tea fan!

I love getting mail. It's one of life's simple pleasures. And this time of year is fantastic - every day the mail brings fun cards and pictures and notes. Here are the first batch of lovely stamped cards I've received in the mail this season. Don't mind the photos. I had already hung these up on the wall and took the pictures frmo there. That's why they are all crooked!

This pretty and sparkly card comes from Pearl. The picture doesn't so it justice - the whole bottom of the card is glittery. It's gorgeous in person.
This blue beauty is from Carol. This Santa image is one of my favorite out there of the big guy.

I thought that this month I would show a few pen pal cards that had to do with Halloween. I got lots of wonderful cards, here are just a couple of them.
This fun Frankie card is from Lesley. I have really enjoyed the Frankie craze this year and was excited to get this little gem.
And as you will see all weekend, I used this card quite a bit as inspiration that Halloween season.
This fantastic card is from Bonnie.This holiday season, she made like a kajillion different Halloween cards and sent a different card to all of her pen pals.
I am totally amazed at the ability to keep changing things up that much and coming up with creative new ideas for the entire month of a single theme. Definitely check out her blog for lots of fun Halloween inspiration.
And last but definitely not least is a card from my very own Meghan. I have a bay window in my dining room with a fairly large ledge. I typically use that ledge for various holiday decorations. This season I had different Halloween things up and I interspersed all my pen pal Halloween/autumn cards. Well, Meghan wanted in on the action and made this card.
After all her hard work, I had to put it on the ledge with all my other great cards.
And there is just a small taste of some of my Halloween mail this season. I hope you have a fun and safe holiday (and don't eat too much candy!)
As we round off the month of September, I thought I'd show a few pieces of happy mail I have received.
This one is from Debbie. I really like this stamp - it's on my wish list. And I like the colors and overall feel of the card.
This one is from Tara. I like the brightness of the card and I've always liked sun stamps, even though I don't have a tendency to use them.
This one is from Jenny. I really like the colors and the overall layout. I also like the jewels and the element of the small circles under the jewels - gives them an extra layer of dimension which I really like.
And that's a peek into my mailbox. Thanks to all my wonderful pen pals who brighten up my mailbox on a daily basis.
As you know, I usually pick three pen pal cards each month at random to show off. This month I noticed a bit of a theme so I picked those three cards. It seems as if my pen pals had an unofficial color scheme in mind - black, white and red. Here are three awesome cards using that color scheme.
This first one is from Khara. Along with the striking colors, the sparkly raised flower caught my eye on this one. And ALL of Khara's cards always smell so good!
This is a fun card from Kari. I like the layout a lot and what's not to like about ladybugs??
And this beauty is from Connie. I originally saw this card on her blog and loved it. It is even nicer to look at in person. I can't believe the amount of work this must have taken. I'd like to try these but am not sure I'd stick with it!
And that is just a small glimpse of the wonderful mail I got this past month. It makes me want to go make something black, white and red!
It's always the best feeling to look through your mail and see that the mailman has brought lovely cards. As I usually do, I randomly chose three cards that I have received in the last month.
This really fun card is from Tara. I like the freshness of the colors and the design had me looking at it twice. Originally I thought there were three panels, a fun design that I like, but after looking at it again, I realized there were layers instead. I like this layout and have added the sketch to my little sketch book.
This fun little card came from Bonnie. I love these little bee stamps. I haven't gotten any of them myself yet, but they are definitely on the watch list. One of these days, I'll break down and buy a few.
This design is another great one. I've used variations of this layout and really like how Bonnie put this one together.
And last but not least is this great card from Alice. First of all, it's purple. Do I really need to say more? You know of my total love of all things purple. And I am completely amazed at the time and effort she took to cut out all those flowers. I very rarely cut out a lot of pieces for my cards and appreciate when others do so.
And there's a little peek into my mailbag this month. I have such great pen pals. They bring a smile to my face with every letter they send.
