As July comes to an end, I have another guild challenge card to show you. The challenge was to interpret the word paint in any way on a card.
This time I chose to "paint" with twinkling h2o's and ink pads.
The butterfly stamp (from My Favorite Things) is stamped on watercolor paper and heat embossed with white powder. I then used three shades of twinkling h2o's to color the inside of the image.
For the outside, I smooshed some distress ink on my Ranger pad and spritzed it with water. I then picked up the color with a paintbrush and painted /watercolored the area all around the butterfly.
The embossing folder I used for the strip of card stock seemed outdoorsy enough to go with the image.
Overall, I had fun with this month's challenge and there are still ideas I wanted to play with but never got around to it. Hopefully they will provide some more painty goodness.
Have a great night!
