Happy Sunday! Mo took the kids to the grocery store for a little bit so I had a chance to finish up this design.
With a last name like O'Shea, it's pretty clear that when Claire opened up her Waltzing Mouse business, I would have to give them a try. Both the image and sentiment are from Waltzing Mouse. I first stamped the image and sentiment with Momento Tuxedo Black ink onto waltercolor paper. Then I let that dry completely (I learned this the hard way - this ink smudged on me when I didn't give it enough drying time). I then spritzed the paper with water and "colored" it with twinkling H2O's (this color is appropriately titled Irish Mist). Once the area was covered to my satisfaction, I let it dry completely (lots of waiting time with this design).
From there it was just a matter of playing around with colors and designs to get my final card. The camera doesn't do the greatest job picking up the sparkle but it's this, I promise. I like the technique - it makes for pretty images (and saves me coloring time!).
Alrighty, gotta run - company should be here soon.
I love my Twinkles, but I never thought to cover the whole page of watercolor paper with it...brilliant!! I'll have to try that.
Very pretty card!

Wow, if you click on the picture to enlarge it, you can really see the shimmer. I but it looks amazing IRSL!

I've never tried that technique but I have all the tools and I have a day to play! Easy is good! I don't have any Waltzing Mouse stamps yet, although I have been following her adventures through her blog.
Great card Ms O'Shea!
