Sometimes I actually make myself not buy some the of latest and greatest stamps. I know, hard to believe if you are a regular reader of this blog. I have a lot (LOT!) of companies I like and try not to "go there" with others. I had never tried Hanna Stamps before. Not because I don't like them but I just couldn't go there with another company. But I had to make a graduation card and was tired of my current selection so I figured, I'll just dip my toe in and buy the Hanna graduation set.
While I may be the last person on the planet to try this, I thought I'd do a mini review just in case.
These stamps are clear stamps the images are "meaty" sizes. By that I mean they are not a 2x2 tiny square but have some weight to them, size-wise. I think it would be extremely easy to make larger sized cards (larger than A2) with these is you were so inclined.
In regards to inking, they inked up like a dream. Usually with clear stamps, I ink them once and stamp on scrap paper to prime them, so to speak. I was short on time so I thought I'd live dangerously and ink up and stamp on the good cardstock the first time. Perfect image - first time stamped ever. Well, now that I've "gone there", I realize I like working with the Hanna stamps a lot and am tempted to buy more. Sigh, will I never learn my lesson???
Now on to the card details.....
Hanna is stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with copics and prismacolor pencils. The colors were chosen to match the school colors.
Copic Markers: B28, B24, R20, E00
PC Pencil: black (blended with baby oil)
The sentiment is from Verve Visuals and stamped with brilliant blue (SU) ink. The paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle (blue stripe) and then I used some flowers, a button and twine to finish things off.
I'm off to go blueberry picking today. I could eat blueberries morning, noon and night and am ecstatic that the picking season is here. Even I may not be able to eat all the blueberries I plan to pick so if you have some good blueberry recipes, please send them on to me. I'd love to give some a try! Have a great day!
super cute!!! i understand about not wanting to go "there" with companies... i convince myself that i don't like the hanna's so i only get the rileys/sophies but even there that's a lot!!! lol

Love this card - it's perfect in everyway! I have a couple of sets of Hanna stamps which I had almost forgotten about. Thanks for the reminder! I know just what you mean about not going there - it's so easy to get sucked in and hit that shop now button, isn't it?

I like blueberry stuff, but not whole fresh bluberries - don't they stain your teeth? - - LOL And now you've got a new stamp company to throw your money at! I like this all blue card...not sure if it matches the school colors but what a great idea to do these in matching school colors!
