If someone is your parent's aunt, are they considered a great aunt or a grand aunt? Today I said goodbye to Aunt Marian, my dad's aunt. I have not seen much of her in recent years but will remember her fondly from when I was younger.
The card I have today was actually made last week. We had another wake to attend last week and this was made to give to Mo's uncle, hence the color scheme.
The tree (Cornish Heritage) and the sentiment (Papertrey) are both stamped in palette burnt umber. Overall, a fairly simple design but I like the simplicity of it, especially for a sympathy card.
A big hello to my Ocean's 11 blogging buddies. I'm carving out some surfing time tomorrow to check out your blogs and add everyone to my blogroll. Have a great night!
Laura this is such a sweet and comforting card. I love the power of the tree and the sentiment under it. It's soothing and quiet, if that makes sense? Sorry for your loss, and I believe she was your Great Aunt. Regardless, I am sure she was a wonderful person. Have a wonderful weekend.

Sorry about your loss. This is a lovely sympathy card. I like the choice of embossing folder with the tree image.

This is a beautiful card. I love the textured background, or at least I think it is textured. Welcome to Ocean's 11.

I always find Sympathy type cards the hardest to do. You did a great job. Sorry to hear about your great / grand aunt.

Hi Laura
Just checking in from Ocean's 11 and I'm loving what I see. CAS cards are hard for me, so I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with and hoping it will rub off on me
