Did you ever start out on a card with its whole purpose being to use one specific item. I had gotten some neat purple and brown ribbon from the Martha Stewart section at Michael's and I was bound and determined to use this ribbon. Let me tell you, I went through a lot to find what I felt was a good match for this ribbon. You know how fashion people always tell you never to buy a top or pants without being the matching piece or you'll never find anything to wear with it...........well, I need to buy papers and cardstock that go with these embellishments as I buy them!
I finally found paper and cardstock that really seemed to work for me. The card is fairly basic (and really, do you expect anything elaborate from me by now?). The stamp is from Stampendous - the same clear set that I seem to be using for everything. The scallops are cut with the cheapy Fiskars scallop scissors. Put a few layers together with of course, the skinny ribbon and there you go.
So this week is going to be one big blur. I am always amazed at how quickly the schedule can fill up and how crazy you can become. I do have a few crafty obligations that I need to get done so I will be posting this week. Hope you'll come back and visit me again.
Love the card. I have had that same ribbon for months and still haven't used it. Thanks for the great idea:)
