A bit busier of a day today as I'm working on a golf party package special order but I'm taking a break to blog some more about the cruise.
I left off as we were heading up to St. John's.
With the time change, I missed getting up in time to see the sun rise (I can guarantee that the rest of the week I dragged myself out). By the time we got up and out, we were already there.
Many of the ports directed you through their local craft shopping areas in order to get into town. The kids embraced the giant moose here in St. John's.
If you haven't figured it out yet, Conor is a ham. Every time he saw different statues, he had to interact in some way.
This one on the nech is probably my favorite as he tried to mimic the facial expression.
There was a pretty little park we found along the way.
The flowers were gorgeous. We decided it's the salt water in the air off the ocean that must help them thrive so nicely.
The Anglican church we came upon was beautiful. My pictures do not do it justice at all.
And the architecture was lovely to look at.
It's hard to see on the next one but the images on the building are caricatures of council members, a happenstance they did not know was going to happen.
And here's the site as we walked back towards the ship. The sheer size of the ship is very cool. And this is considered a mid-sized ship!
We had to be back on the ship by 2 to sail out again so we had plenty of time for ship fun.
Conor and the dessert bar were good buddies by the end of the week.
Basketball to work off all those desserts.....
There were some rousing games of ping pong and tennis too but I didn't get pictures. And I can say is that goodness the tennis courts have nets surrounding them. I would have left tennis balls littered all over the ocean!
